This face mask will gently detoxify rehydrate your skin, leaving it glowing and moisturised. Bananas are a great source of potassium, vitamins A, B6 and C and are wonderfully effective at softening and hydrating the skin. Our skin has a protective layer to keep water in and foreign substances out. Cold and hot weather, wind, air conditioning and heating can all damage this layer, making it dry and flaky. When you use this banana mask, oil molecules form a temporary waterproof layer over your face, giving your skin cells a chance to rebuild their moisture levels.
1/2 a banana
One skinclay sachet
4 tablespoons of filtered or bottled water
In a mixing bowl mash half a banana. Then add the Skinclay sachet (this mask works well with any of our three clays).
Add the water and stir until you have a smooth consistency. Add more water if necessary.
Smooth the mixture over your face with the applicator and leave for 10 minutes, then gently wash off with warm water.
Tip : try adding freshly grated ginger or a little cayenne for a boost.
Drinking a glass of water mixed with freshly squeezed lemon juice provides a number of benefits for the body as well as the mind.
